According to a report by the UN, in India, about 4.5% of the households are majorly managed by single mothers. This counts to a huge number of 130 lakh women.
Another portion of the single mothers live in extended families, and this is nearly 320 lakhs of women.
The unprivileged and impoverished life gives mental stress, poverty, lack of confidence, and unemployment, which in turn make them feel low and helpless.
Having no way out to arrange basic amenities and necessities of life, make their lives more challenging, and sometimes creating a feeling of hopelessness.
